The Payroll Point Web Services from Symmetry Software delivers details about payroll withholding tax jurisdictions, rates and values in an XML structure.
This allows for passage of a city/state, home and/or work address which are converted into latitude and longitude, or the actual latitude/longitude coordinates.
These coordinates are then compared to the tax boundary shape files, and return the various taxes that are appropriate to the original data.
If both a home and work address are passed, the service will indicate the "calculated" results that are required for proper withholding taxation.
